I thought I was going to be clever and put these together in a production. I don't like wrangling all four pieces at once. My clever idea was to glue one corner and assemble.
It was when I was stretching the canvas I realized that they were wonky. Eight out of twelve leaned as much as a half inch or more out of true. And I gorilla glued them. TO MAKE SURE THEY STAYED PUT.
The four that made it? Near the end I didn’t like my idea and reverted to assembling the entire stretcher frame at once.
At least I have four. And they are 9” x 12.” Smaller size, more affordable mistake.
My new theory following this lesson. I’m going to get crazy and use a carpenter’s square.
